Police in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, North Carolina, have found card skimmers on multiple ATMs in stores in Charlotte. Authorities currently have no suspects, according to a report by WCNC.

Charlotte Crime Stoppers is urging residents to be careful about using ATMs in the area. Tom Bartholomy, of the Better Business Bureau, advises card holders to use bank ATMs as they are checked for skimmers more regularly than retail ATMs.

He also recommended slightly inserting a card and wiggling it from side to side.

"If it's difficult to insert [the card] or if [the reader] moves at all, tell the store manager, tell the clerk that something doesn't seem right," Bartholomy told the news outlet.
