SYDNEY -- Bank of Queensland has selected NCR Corporation's (NYSE: NCR) APTRA Edge software application to run its network of Diebold ATMs.
This announcement represents the first deployment of APTRA Edge in Australia and New Zealand, according to the news release.
"As part of the upgrade to our non-NCR ATM fleet, it was crucial that the application software was truly multivendor and APTRA has proved itself in this regard," said David Saville, Bank of Queensland's general manager, distribution and productivity, in the release. "Going forward we see the APTRA application delivering greater flexibility and enabling us to be more self-sufficient in our development."
Jim Piggot, general manager and senior vice president of software and services for NCR's Financial Solutions Division, said, "We're excited Bank of Queensland has chosen APTRA for its multivendor self-service software application. Many financial institutions are already seeing the benefit and ease of transitioning their entire ATM channel, no matter who manufactured the ATM."
