Australian IAD Stargroup has announced that it will begin domestic distribution of casino solutions that have proven successful in Asia.
The technologies, which include table deposit, wagering and currency exchange solutions, will be manufactured by NeoICP, a company in which Stargroup owns an 11 percent interest, The West Australian reported.
According to Stargroup CEO Todd Zani, the technology has already been deployed at casinos in Korea, Macau and a number of other Asian countries.
"We are working closely with NeoICP to tailor these solutions for the Australian market and are excited to announce that we are already fielding significant interest both in Australia and on behalf of other international customers and distributors," Zani said in a statement.
Within a relatively short time, Stargroup has evolved from a privately owned IAD to a publicly traded, vertically integrated ATM deployment and service company, The West report said.
This is due at least in part to acquisitions such as that of Indue Ltd. in May, which instantly gave the company settlement, switching, processing and remote ATM transaction monitoring capabilities.
Currently Stargroup manages more than 2,400-plus ATMs in addition to several hundred more that it owns and operates across Australia.
