Attempted ATM robbery in Illinois leads to high speed chase

Tuscola, Illinois police engaged in a high-speed chase after they responded to calls that someone was attempted to steal an ATM from a First-Mid Bank branch. When officers arrived on the scene, the robber fled in a Black Jeep Cherokee, according to a report by WCIA.

No money was taken at the ATM, although its lock was damaged. The bank was able to replace the lock and get the ATM operating again.

The police pursuit ended in Savoy. There is no information if an arrest was made.
