LOUISVILLE, Ky. - NetWorld Alliance, which owns and operates ATMmarketplace, announced in a June 18 news release that it has acquired Oklahoma City-based QSRweb.com and FastCasual.com from a private trust company managed by BMG Consulting.
The sale closed June1. Financial details surrounding the acquisition were not disclosed.
Paul Barron of BMG, who created QSRweb.com and FastCasual.com in 1997, has joined NetWorld as an executive vice president and chief operating officer and co-publisher of NetWorld's foodservice division. Barron will continue to oversee the direction of the sites.
NetWorld expects to round out its foodservice media properties, which include PizzaMarketplace.com, through the acquisition of QSRweb.com and FastCasual.com.
"We are very enthusiastic about this plan," said NetWorld chief executive Dick Good. "The quick-serve and fast-casual restaurant areas both show tremendous activity and growth, and Paul Barron possesses a great deal of expertise in dealing with and contributing to the food service industry."
