CAPE TOWN, South Africa - The ATM Industry Association has launched its Web site for its new Asian chapter at www.atmiaasia.com.
It is the non-profit association's seventh regional Web site, following those for ATMIA United States, ATMIA Canada, ATMIA Europe, ATMIA Africa, ATMIA Australasia and the bilingual portal in English and Russian for Eastern Europe. Each of the sites are interconnected within one global communications network, according to a news release.
"Each Web site serves as an industry notice board and one-stop information hub for its region," said Lana Harmelink, ATMIA's international director of operations. "Each site has news tickers, storefronts, a best practice online center and links to our Global ATM Security Alliance Web site."
Other features include upcoming events such as ATMIA conferences, responses to current industry issues and other membership information.
The founding sponsor of ATMIA Asia is Nautilus Hyosung, the South Korea- based ATM manufacturer and service provider.
ATMIA plans to hold its first conference in Asia, in either Hong Kong, Singapore or Shanghai, early in 2005.
