ATMIA expands Web presence

May 28, 2002

LONDON -- The ATM Industry Association has launched a new Web site for its recently established Australasian chapter, www.atmiaaustralasia.com.

The Australasian site is the third ATMIA Web site, following www.atmia.com for the North American chapter and www.atmiaeurope.com for the European chapter. A fourth website, www.atmiaafrica.com, is currently being designed.

The new-look Global Home Page can be viewed at www.atmia.com.

Traffic on ATMIA sites has increased significantly, according to ATMIA International Director Mike Lee. In the period from August 2001 to April 2002, for example, www.atmia.com received more than two million hits, with an average daily hit rate of 8,347 for the North American site. The average daily page view rate for the same period was 445.

The younger European site, launched at the end of 2000, had a lower hit rate for that period at 416 daily hits and 137 daily page views.

Lana Harmelink, ATMIA's director of operations, congratulated the association's vendor-partners, the Stratton Group on the new look and ease of navigation on the site. "I challenge the Australasian members to get the Web site traffic up to the levels of ATMIA Europe within a year," she joked.
