ATMIA Board Meeting Minutes February 1999 Dallas, TX Meeting time: 4 hours
In Attendance: Lyle Elias, President Randy Stratton, Vice President David Bartone, Secretary Tom Harper Alan Fryrear, WaterMark Group, Inc. Representative

• Name change from ATM Owners Association to ATM Industry Association Discussion on rationale for change: encompass all aspects of the industry, not just individual retail owners. Goal is to be a driver in the industry for education and as a political voice, as well assist all suppliers and customers in the advancement of the ATM industry. It was agreed that the name change and a new logo were needed. Also the mission statement was rewritten to reflect the broadened strategy. • Administration and Association Growth An executive director discussion evolved because of the new focus and growth of the association. It was recommended that someone be hired immediately to manage the association. Recommendations were made and agreement to hire Shelley Kinslow for the position was voted on and passed. • Bylaws Development An immediate order of business is to develop by laws to govern the association. David Bartone, attorney and secretary for the association, agreed to work on this project. • Additional Membership Benefit Development This is to be a key objective of the new executive director. Ideas for benefits are: additional insurance products, a discounted long distance rate, travel benefits, an affinity program, newsletter and most importantly a conference/trade show. Brainstorming on other goals and objectives took place without any "concrete" missions being established at this time.

She discussed more benefits that will be ready for unveiling in the next two months: travel club and newsletter. • Trade Show A discussion on location, timing, format and conference content took place. A theme needs to be established immediately so speakers can be arranged. Timing was set for February 2000 and location will be Orlando, Florida. • By Laws and Fifth Member of Executive Committee Bylaws will be available for vote at the next board meeting. Nominations for the fifth executive committee seat will be taken until that time. • Corporate Sponsorship Program Shelley Kinslow and Lyle Elias will present a corporate sponsorship program to Affiliated Computer Services and Tidel on June 2, 1999. This is a key fundraising program for our "non-profit" organization. Sponsorship allows those companies a myriad of benefits and exposure to members depending on level of sponsorship. • New Web site The new ATMIA Web site should be "live" by June 11. The site has been totally redesigned to fit our new name and image. Members will see the new site whether logging onto http://www.atmia.com or http://www.atmoa.com for a while. • Press Release A press release discussing the new name, logo, image, etc. will be mailed the week of June 7 to a number of trade publications. A copy of the press release will also be sent to all members announcing new benefits and the appointment of Shelley Kinslow to the association. Next Board Meeting set for August 10 in Louisville, KY, at the offices of WaterMark Group. Submitted by Shelley Kinslow, Executive Director
