ATMIA accepting nominations for annual ATM security awards

June 3, 2004

CAPE TOWN, South Africa - Applications and nominations for this year's global ATM security awards -- presented each year by the ATM Industry Association -- will be evaluated by three independent international judges, from Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

The judges, all respected figures in the industry, are: Ian McKindley, country risk manager for Visa International; Mike Urban, Card Alert operations director for Fair Isaac; and Professor Martin Gill, director of Perpetuity Research & Consultancy International (PRCI).

The three categories for the international awards are: ATM Security Best Practice, ATM Security Best Technology and Best Contribution to Promoting the Interests and Growth of the Industry in the Field of ATM Security

The aim of the awards, in association with ATMmarketplace.com, is to reward and recognize excellence in the industry. They are open to ATMIA members and non-members.

Past winners of the awards can be seen on ATMIA's Honor Roll on all of its six regional Web sites.

To enter, send a written nomination of no fewer than 500 words to Mike Lee at mike@atmia.com by Sept. 3 explaining why the applicant or nominee, whether an individual or a company, is worthy of receiving an award in any of the selected categories.

The awards will be presented at "ATM Sec 4," Oct. 25-26 at the SAS Radisson Hotel in London.
