ATM software developer TEKchand partners with Flower.com

May 6, 2001

CHICAGO -- TEKchand LLC, a developer of software and applications for ATMs, has signed a letter of intent withFlower.comto integrate its product offerings into text-based advertising for ATMs enhanced by the ATMRewards Software developed by TEKchand.

TEKchand expects to roll out its ATMRewards Software on ATMs in North Carolina by July 2001, and expand that program to more than 2,000 ATMs by year-end.

ATMs that are enabled by the ATMRewards software will be able to receive and print the latest specials and discounts offered by Flower.com. ATM users can opt to receive a printout of Flower.com's toll-free telephone number and ATMRewards specific discount code, which entitles the ATM user to discounts on Flower.com's products.

"Our goal is to expand the accessibility of our distribution network, thereby making Flower.com the first choice in the minds of consumers when they order flowers," said Peter Levensohn, vice president of e-commerce at Flower.com. "We view this as an inexpensive way to take banner advertising beyond the Internet. Flower.com partnered with TEKchand in this effort because their strategy embraces the Internet and allows us to easily establish, target, monitor and alter advertising campaigns online to suit the demographics and locale of targeted ATMs, day of the week or season of the year."

"TEKchand looks forward to working with Flower.com to make ATMRewards-enhanced ATMs into a premier channel for advertising and sales generation for the company," said Rajeev Bahri, managing partner of TEKchand.
