Nicholas J. Anderson, a man from Philadelphia, pled guilty recently to stealing more than $1.1 million from dozens of ATMs in the greater Philadelphia region. He had worked as a service worker for Diebold Nixdorf ATMs, according to a report by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Police first began investigating the theft when Diebold Nixdorf told authorities that they had seen cash shortages at 47 ATM locations in Philadelphia and Montgomery and Delaware counties.
Upon investigation, police found $12,050 in cash and a Glock 23 handgun inside his company vehicle
He will be sentenced on May 2 and is free on bail.
