The ATM Security 2015 conference, scheduled for Oct. 13 and 14 in London, will include a session presented by the ATM Security Association that will address the need for industry-wide cooperation with the shared goal of meeting ATM security challenges.
During this session, the association's chairman, Uwe Krause, and finance and marketing director, Joerg Engelhardt, will report on progress the organization has made since its introduction at the 2014 conference.
Within the past year, the association has marked its official launch and the formation of working groups focused on the areas of software security, data encryption, skimming and card compromise, and cassette security.
Krause and Engelhardt also will offer insight into the association’s vision and roadmap for the future. The association's booth at the conference will provide a venue for one-on-one conversations about the group's work.
"Encouraged by the amount of interest we received during last year’s conference, we want to grow market awareness of the ATM Security Association and offer those interested in membership an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the progress we’re making and the activities of our organization," Krause said.
The ATM Security Association is a cross-industry organization that seeks to compile information on known and potential ATM attack scenarios, and to share this information with specific industry groups to enable the timely development and implementation of countermeasures at the global level.
