ATM Security Association taps Intralinks for information sharing
Intralinks says its cloud-based Via solution will ensure the safe exchange by association members of sensitive information about ATM threats and countermeasures.

Intralinks Holdings Inc., a provider of secure content collaboration solutions, has announced that its Intralinks Via product has been selected for secure information-sharing among members of the ATM Security Association for Enhanced Technology, a global organization dedicated to the creation of vendor-independent ATM security standards.
The association, which was launched this year by Diebold Inc. and Wincor Nixdorf, and whose members include Hitachi, ABN-AMRO, TMD Security, Cryptera, GMV, and Wells Fargo, among others, will use Intralinks Via to support the development of common security standards; the analyzation and response to identified threats; and the creation of new countermeasures, a press release from Intralinks said.
"Intralinks has deep experience in financial services, and Intralinks Via gave us the content security capabilities we could trust with the very sensitive information we needed to share," ATM Security Association Finance Director Joerg Engelhardt said in the release.
The release described Via as a "robust, yet simple" enterprise collaboration solution that gives organizations the assurance that documents remain secure as their members exchange and work on them.
Intralinks Via allows the ATM Security Association to control who is granted permission to view and share files with plugin-free information rights management, which was key as the association has no control over members' computers.
"Keeping information secure is the top concern for organizations considering a content collaboration and file sharing solution, and this is Intralinks' core strength," said Intralinks Field CTO Daren Glenister. "We're very pleased that the ATM Security Association selected Intralinks to support its important work, and look forward to working with them and their members."
