The ATM Security Association has launched its global Crisis and Crime Management Intelligence System. This system acts as a global crime intelligence database for the ATM industry, according to a press release.

With this database, ATM deployers, manufacturers and security specialists can look up crime trends, methods of attack, crime migration patterns and new attack methods. Users can also report an incident, search by location and type of crime, and get reports, graphs and statistics.

"With ATM crime increasing worldwide as lockdowns are eased, it is more important than ever for ATM deployers to stay ahead of criminals," Mike Lee, CEO of the ATM Industry Association and president of ASA, said in the release. "The new CCMIS database, the first of its kind for our industry, is a fantastic tool that will help ATM deployers protect their investments and allow security professionals and manufacturers to understand the types of attacks occurring around the globe so they can develop new prevention methods."
