ATM makers see ties to cell phones, PDAs

The Associated Press:CompetitorsDiebold Inc.andNCR Corp.are convinced bank customers will want to communicate with ATMs through their cell phones or personal digital assistants. A bank customer could quickly find an ATM location and set up a transaction on the way to it. The technology also could help track ATM card thieves.
