Atlantic Union Bankshares Corp. appointed Alexander D. Dodd as CFO. He will succeed Robert M. Gorman, who is retired, but will stay on through Sept. 30 as an executive advisor, according to a press release.

Dodd previously served as deputy CFO and EVP of TD Bank Group.

"Alex will be a valuable addition to our leadership team," John C. Asbury, president and CEO of Atlantic Union Bankshares, said in the release. "He brings more than 20 years of enterprise finance leadership experience across U.S. and Canadian banking, including serving as Interim CFO for TD Bank's U.S. operations — a $375 billion asset institution. Alex also has experience at smaller institutions and offers extensive end-to-end experience across the finance functions of a regional bank."
