Athena Bitcoin to install 1,500 bitcoin ATMs in El Salvador

Athena Bitcoin, a Bitcoin ATM operator, has announced plans to install 1,500 Bitcoin ATMs in El Salvador. The country signed a bill recently making bitcoin legal tender. President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador also introduced the country's official bitcoin wallet, according to a report by Bitcoin.com.

Athena Bitcoin plans to invest more than $1 million to install the ATMs, and will also open an office to carry out its business in the country.
