Asia Pay establishes Singapore subsidiary

NEW YORK - Asia Payment Systems Inc. has completed establishment of a fully owned subsidiary in Singapore known as Asia Payments Systems Pte.

Matt Mecke, Asia Payment's president and chief executive, said in an Aug. 29 news release that Singapore was chosen as the subsidiary's headquarters because of its proximity to countries in southeast Asia. "Asia Pay recognizes Singapore's role as a regional hub for Southeast Asia and has set up there to address interest from multinational merchants within the region," he said.
