Arizona governor vetoes crypto bills, approves bitcoin ATM regulation

Arizona recently proposed multiple cryptocurrency bills, which were all vetoed by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. She also approved a bill to regulate bitcoin ATMs by requiring multilingual warnings about scams and putting a cap of $2,000 a day for new customers and $10,500 per day for returning customers, according to a report by Coin Telegraph.

The bills vetoed included:

• Senate Bill 1373 to create a Digital Assets Strategic Reserve Fund. In her veto of Bill 1373 she listed "volatility in cryptocurrency markets" as the key reason to veto.
• Senate Bill 1025 to invest up to 10% of state's treasury and retirement funds into cryptocurrency.
• Senate Bill 1024 to allow cryptocurrency payments for taxes, fines and fees.

In the bitcoin ATM bill, it also mentions that if a new user is scammed and reports it within 30 days, they may receive a full refund, along with all fees.
