Arizona Financial Credit Union inks acquisition of Horizon Community Bank

Arizona Financial Credit Union has officially acquired Horizon Community Bank, headquartered in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. With this acquisition, the union aims to expand its services into western Arizona, according to a press release.

Arizona Financial will offer its consumer loans, insurance, credit cards, small business services, SBA and other services to Horizon Community's customers.

"After successfully integrating the operations of Pinnacle Bank in 2019, Arizona Financial's board of directors endorsed acquisition opportunities as a component of the credit union's future growth strategy," Ronald L. Westad, president and CEO of Arizona Financial, said in the release. "We believe that quality growth and diversification are essential to continued success in our industry, and we intend to achieve it both organically and through mergers or acquisitions."
