ABC News: The latest Federal Government plan to help problems gamblers has been dismissed as inadequate and hypocritical.
The Government plans to limit the amount of money that problem gamblers can withdraw from ATMs in gaming venues.
The Family and Community Services Minister, Kay Patterson, has reportedly put the proposal to the Australian Bankers' Association.
But Mark Zirsnak from Victoria's Interchurch Gambling Taskforce says only a ban on ATMs in gaming venues will work.
"We think this has been a situation of hypocrisy on the part of the Federal Government who has rightly criticized state governments about their inaction on problem gambling," he said.
