Answers, etc., KeyBank, TSYS launch prepaid MasterCard

NEW YORK - TSYS Prepaid, a subsidiary of TSYS (NYSE: TSS) and a provider of prepaid card solutions, has announced that Answers, etc. is providing the platform to power TSYS Prepaid's Zoomcard Prepaid MasterCard, according to a news release.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Answers, etc. develops check-cashing and payday-advance software tailored to the needs of financial service providers, including check-cashing stores, payday lenders, banks, grocery stores and convenience stores. The Zoomcard, issued by KeyBank, is accepted at more than 900,000 ATMs and more than 24 million merchant locations throughout the world.

The Zoomcard targets consumers who do not hold traditional banking accounts.

"By offering the Zoomcard Prepaid MasterCard, merchants can better serve and cater to their non-banked customers," said Scott Merritt, president of Answers, etc.
