Ann All leaves ATMmarketplace.com after more than six years

March 21, 2005

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the ATM biz who doesn't know, or who hasn't at least heard of, Ann All. From industry trends and news to ATM tidbits and insightful industry commentaries, All has kept ATM folks up-to-date on all that is ATM for almost seven years.

But last week, after serving as ATMmarketplace.com's first and only editor, All announced her decision to move on. And her absence will be definitely be felt, said Tom Harper, ATMmarketplace.com publisher and president of NetWorld Alliance, the site's parent company.

Ann All, long-time editor of ATMmarketplace, will be leaving her post after more than six years of service.

All joined ATMmagazine.com, ATMmarketplace.com's predecessor, in 1998, only months after the site was launched. With a background in newspaper, All's journalistic professionalism raised the bar for ATM news and business coverage across the industry.

Harper said All's absence will be felt across the industry.

"Ann has been our star editor since we launched ATMmarketplace.com, and she will be missed by everyone in the industry," Harper said. "We're all familiar with her excellent reporting, witty personality and friendly face at conferences. She's so well loved - and this industry will be bidding farewell to a long-time friend. We all wish her the best of the best as she dives into her next challenge."

NetWorld chief executive officer Dick Good said the ATM industry owes All "a great deal of gratitude" for the insight she offered into the ATM industry .

"Ann had already established an excellent reputation in the ATM industry for herself and ATMmagazine.com when I joined the group in 2000," Good said. "Since that time ATMmarketplace.com has grown many times over and the number of readers who followed her observations and opinions was tremendous."

Chris Klein, executive vice president of marketing for Florida-based Mosaic Software (an S1 company), a close friend and colleague who has worked with All since she first joined ATMmagazine.com, said her contribution to the industry will be "deeply missed."

"She's really good at what she does," Klein said. "She knows how to deal with people and really cut through what they're saying to get to what the big issues are."

"It is hard to believe she will no longer be the daily voice of the ATM industry," Klein continued. "She will be deeply missed by all of us who have come to depend on her as a trusted source of information about anything and everything related to the ATM world."

Russell Pandina Jr., director of operations for Montana-based ISO Bancard Systems, said All's willingness to report issues affecting all of the ATM industry's players, from ISOs to financial institutions and manufacturers, helped set ATMmarketplace.com apart from other news sources.

"Ann's stories always looked at the industry from everybody's point of view - the big picture," Pandina said. "I'm sure there will be a lot of people who miss her."

Ernest Burdette, founder and president emeritus of Triton Systems of Delaware, said All worked to make ATMmarketplace the "most widely read (publication) in the ATM market."

"As a result of Ann's reporting on ATM issues, new products and technology, we have come together and are a stronger industry," Burdette said.
