Amarillo, Texas police investigating independent ATM thefts

Police in Amarillo, Texas, are investigating multiple thefts and attempted thefts of independent ATMs in the area. In one incident, a thief stole an ATM from the Pine Shed bar, and in another someone tried to steal a gaming machine from a convenience store, according to a report by ABC 7.

Police are asking local businesses to keep ATMs secured to make them harder to remove, install GPS trackers and empty cash frequently.

The investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified.
