Economic Times: Bank ATMs, petrol stations andmobile phones are all set to become distribution channels for low cost Indian airline Air Deccanin the coming weeks.
The airline has signed up with oil giant HPCLto retail tickets from its 6,000 pan-India outlets, beginning this month in Bangalore.
HPCL officials said since most of its petrol outlets -- especially the 2,500 urban locations -- were all wired for Internet connections, it could quickly put up ticket dispensing kiosks.
