SPRINGBORO, Ohio - American Circuit Technology, Inc. (ACT) has changed its name to ATM Components & Technology, Inc. with the new motto: "Your ATM Solutions Provider."
"The new name more accurately reflects our business, while still allowing us to keep our ACT" logo, said Mike Stebbins, the company's chief executive, in a news release. "At one time, circuit board assembly was a large portion of our business, hence the name, but we feel this is a perfect time to begin a new year with a new name, as part of the many positive changes we are making."
The name change comes as ACT marks its 15th anniversary and is part of a push for changes in the company's culture and direction in 2004.
To prepare for future growth, the company has doubled its staff to about 40 employees and is beginning construction on an addition to their current location, which will increase the square footage by more than 50 percent.
Rob Mowell, director of operations, said in the release that 2004 will be "a pinnacle year in the life of this company."
ACT has supplied ATM replacement parts and services since 1989. The company carries 4,000 parts that are manufactured or sourced, in an inventory of more than 6,500 part numbers. ACT maintains a full-time engineering staff dedicated to the development of replacement parts which exceed OEM standards.
According to the release, ACT does business with Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S., and with enterprises in South and Central America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, the Philippines and the Pacific Rim.
