HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. -- Paragon Application Systems, a provider of ATM and EFT configuration, simulation and testing software, has signed a referral agreement with ACI Worldwide (ACI), a provider of payment solutions to financial institutions.
Under the agreement, ACI will recommend Paragon's WorkSmart ATM Suite, already used by ACI technicians and a number of ACI customers worldwide, to all its BASE24 and BASE24-es customers for WYSIWYG ATM configuration and end-to-end testing of EFT processing.
According to a news release, the agreement comes largely as a result of ACI's past experience using Paragon tools for regression testing and quality assurance. The two companies have a long-standing relationship, with Paragon not only serving ACI and its customers but also participating in the ACI Customer Exchange.
Rick DuVall, ACI senior product manager, said in the release, "We have used Paragon internally for years and respect the quality and breadth of their offerings."
While BASE24 included a proprietary configuration tool, for BASE24-es ACI is recommending the WorkSmart ATM Suite as a solution for ATM configuration and testing.
According to the release, the two companies' products lend themselves to rapid configuration and testing of ATMs for MPEG support, audio for ADA compliance or triple DES support. The suite can be delivered "off-the-shelf" via the Internet to any of ACI's global customers.
"It is especially gratifying that ACI's recommendation is based upon their technicians and customers' own first hand experience with the Paragon tools," said Kathryn Cameron, Paragon's marketing director.
According to the release, more than 500 customers in 72 countries use ACI supplied software. More than 150 financial institutions in 15 countries use Paragon's software.
