Three men have been arrested in Lubbock, Texas for allegedly using a Raspberry Pi device to steal thousands of dollars from ATMs. By plugging the device into the ATMs, they were allegedly able to turn off the security system and access the cash drawer without activating alarms, according to a report by PC Gamer.
Witnesses saw the three men stealing $5,700 from one ATM prior to their arrest. The Texas Financial Crime Taskforce claims that they "stole large sums of U.S. currency in the West Texas region."
Law enforcement later found two Raspberry Pi devices in one of the suspect's hotel room.
