2 men sentenced in Australia for ATM skimming operation

Two men from Romania have been sentenced to serve time in jail for installing skimmers on ATM devices in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, according to a report by Daily Mail UK.

The Australia Federal Police raided a suspect's home and seized nearly $13,000 in cash, along with skimming devices and false identity documents. The men had stolen $36,000 in total.

The police first began investigating the skimming after being alerted by the U.S. Secret Service about ATM skimmers being sent to Australia.

Investigators found the men after identifying a series of packages sent from the U.K., China and the U.S.
