This year's Bank Customer Experience Summit, held in Charlotte, North Carolina from Sept. 9 to 11, will provide critical strategic insights into banking technology, customer experience trends, AI and more. By registering for the event, bankers can learn from industry experts, network and more.

In addition, the event will be co-held with the Interactive Customer Experience Summit, which will bring in retailers, restaurants and hospitality executives, so bankers can learn how other industries are delivering CX initiatives. One badge gains you entry to both events.

Keynote

Regina DeMars, director of content marketing and social media strategy at First National Bank of Omaha will deliver the keynote at the summit, where she will discuss content strategy in detail. In particular, she will look at how banks can or should integrate tools like TikTok, social media and more.

She will also discuss how content strategy for banks has changed over the years and what tactics work best for retaining or bringing in new customers.

The ICX Summit will have two keynotes: with Neely Powell, CEO and counter of Charleston Shoe Company discussing customer engagement strategies Steven King, CEO of Blue Sky Robotics discussing cutting edge technology like blockchain, AI, robots and more.

Sessions

During the Bank Customer Experience Summit, attendees will have a chance to learn at the many breakout sessions, where bankers and credit union executives will discuss in casual panels about how they navigated the many complexities of modern banking.

Some of the topics covered during the sessions will include:

  • Avoiding customer transformation pitfalls.
  • Crafting an innovative retail banking experience.
  • How to use financial education as a marketing tool.
  • Meeting banking regulations without sacrificing CX.
  • Balancing human touch and AI.
  • How to make your store welcoming for all customers.

Marsha Womack, first VP, director of retail banking at Citizens Trust Bank, said she was excited to share at her panel on retail banking how banks can deliver expert guidance to customers through financial education.

She said that she will share "the importance of positioning ourselves as the expert with our clients and the importance of having the needs met conversation with each interaction."

Marbue Brown, founder of The Customer Obsession Advantage will share at his panel on avoiding customer transformation pitfalls how banks can utilize the "Disney Method" to develop transformation plans. In this method, organizations analyze ideas based on three vantage points:

  • The Dreamer — Develops innovative ideas unfiltered by limitations.
  • The Realist — Morphs and reworks ideas to achieve implementation feasibility.
  • The Spoiler — Pokes holes in plans to see if they can withstand the harshest scrutiny.

Awards and networking

On Sept. 10, attendees will learn about the biggest innovators in retail and banking CX during the Elevate & BCX Awards. Judges selected multiple winners that have created or implemented technologies that elevate the customer experience in a big way.

Following the ceremony, attendees can get a chance to speak one-on-one with the panelists or editors at the event and enjoy a dinner party. The party is also a great opportunity to network with thought leaders in the industry.
