A few weeks ago we released Atmosphere 5.2.0. And every time a new version ships, someone asks me (or I ask myself) why we keep up this pace of improvements when we already hold a solid position in the market.
The truth is, the reason has less to do with defending a position and more to do with something much simpler: we want to offer better service and better features to the people who trust us. We don't update because it's expected, or because we need to prove something. We update because, every year, we sit down face to face with each of our customers before defining the product roadmap, precisely to make sure that what matters to them is what matters to us. That direct conversation is what truly shapes what we build.
Since we set up our Innovation area this has become even more evident: innovation isn't just a growth lever, it's also what allows us to stay relevant and competitive in a sector that never stands still.
We've had this release in production for a few weeks now, and I want to highlight three updates that capture where we're headed.
The first is Atmigo, the new help chatbot we've integrated across the whole suite. It's the first iteration of our AI assistant within Atmosphere, and while today it answers based on our documentation, the goal is clear: to turn it into an increasingly capable companion for our customers, one that learns and grows with every development cycle. It's a perfect example of how we understand innovation at Serquo: not as a grand announcement, but as something built step by step, with honesty about what it can already do and what it still has to learn. The beta version is available to some of our users. All our customers will have access to the final version once improved.
The second is the new single-port architecture, which has radically simplified deployment across the entire suite (frontends, APIs, and WebRTC/TURN streaming) behind a single port. It may sound technical, but for anyone who's had to deal with NAT configuration at a client site, this is an improvement that's already being felt day to day. Innovating is also this: removing friction that no one sees but everyone feels.
The third is, once again, reinforcing our commitment to security and regulatory compliance: substantial improvements to TR-34 and AES key management, ISO 4 support, and, in Dwide's case, PCI DSS 4.0.1 compliance. In an industry where every transaction and every device is a potential point of vulnerability, this responds directly to something our customers tell us again and again: they need to be able to trust that their systems are up to date with industry standards.
When we created the Innovation area, we were clear that we didn't want a department that produced nice-sounding ideas disconnected from the reality of the business. We wanted an engine that would connect what we hear from our customers (in those yearly meetings, but also day to day) with what our Product team can actually build.
And what we've seen this past half-year confirms that idea. Every improvement we ship to Atmosphere and Dwide isn't a technological whim or a need to prove something: it responds to a constant effort to listen to what our customers truly need and to how we can make their lives easier. That, to me, is the real function of innovation in a company like ours: it's not a decoration for the sales pitch, it's how we keep earning the trust they place in us, and also what allows us to stay competitive in a market that's constantly evolving.
There's one detail that matters to me as much as any new feature: this update, like every one we release, came at no additional cost to our subscribed customers. We firmly believe that continuous innovation should be part of the commitment we make to those who trust us, not an extra that gets billed separately. If we improve, they improve. It's that simple.
I want to close this article with a heartfelt thank you to our Product team, who managed to deliver all of this (and much more that doesn't fit in a release note) in a short amount of time and with a level of quality that keeps impressing me, half-year after half-year. And thank you as well to all the teams who, day in and day out, report bugs, make suggestions, and help us improve, especially our Services team, who are on the front line, listening to our customers and bringing us what truly matters.
We keep listening, we keep improving. Because in the end, that's what the market asks of us, and what our customers ask of us every time we sit down with them.
If you're already an Atmosphere or Dwide customer, I'd love to hear what you think of this release and if you're curious about what we're building next, reach out. Those conversations are exactly where our next roadmap starts.
