NCR Corp. retains its title as the world's largest ATM manufacturer for the 24th consecutive year, according to a report released by Retail Banking Research Ltd., a London-based strategic research and consulting firm.
Based on research data supplied by Retail Banking Research, NCR officials said yesterday that in 2009 the company controlled 29.5 percent of the installed base of ATMs worldwide. Last year, the global installed base of ATMs was approximately 2.1 million.
NCR also mentioned that it holds the number one market share in North America, Europe Middle East Africa and Asia.
