The best bank for ATM users? You might be surprised

It's an FI you might not have heard of — and it doesn't own a single ATM.

Online consumer finance publisher NerdWallet has named Bank of Internet USA as the financial institution with the best consumer checking account for domestic ATM users.

Bank of Internet USA customers with a checking account can withdraw money from any ATM nationwide and are fully reimbursed for all fees related to the use of the ATM, the FI said in a press release.

"Bank of Internet USA checking account customers have access to a full set of features without the fees that many traditional banks charge," said SVP of Deposit Operations Lorena McWilliams. "[W]e offer a great user experience with a strong economic value in our online and mobile banking products."

BofI Federal Bank, with its flagship consumer banking brand Bank of Internet USA, is the oldest Internet bank in America and is consistently recognized among the nation's best banks, according to the press release.
