Atlanta Business Chronicle: ATLANTA - Royal Bank of Scotland acquired Hanco ATM Systems Ltd. in July for approximately $143 million.
Hanco, a U.K. company that began as a division of Peachtree City-based Hanco Systems Inc., has one of the largest non-bank ATM networks in the U.K., and a contract that gives it the exclusive right to place ATMs in about 7,000 U.K. post offices.
RBS would not confirm the purchase price.
Earlier this month, RBS paid $525 million in cash for Atlanta-based Lynk Systems Inc., a provider of credit card and debit card processing systems (see Royal Bank of Scotland completes Lynk acquisition).
