Over its 120-year history, Chicago-based Harris has grown from a small community bank to a regional financial powerhouse. And in recent years, Harris has called on Pendum (formerly EFMARK-Bantek) to take its ATM program to a level befitting the bank's size and scope.
The relationship began in 1997, when Harris acquired 50 ATMs from another institution. At the time, Pendum was providing first and second line maintenance for those ATMs.
By 1999, Harris began to explore new vendors whose capabilities and customer service matched the bank’s need to revamp its ATM program. Replacing old ATMs with new machines while continuing to expand and enhance the ATM network would prove a demanding job, and Harris needed to be sure that their ATM service provider was up to the challenge. Speed and responsiveness were top priorities.
