CPK+ 6000/6001 Model 3 is especially designed for the ATMs with a non-motorized / DIP card (manual) reader. The transmitter protects the ATM/SST against skimming attempts with skimming devices placed over the bezel of the dip card reader. Model 3 is also equipped like the Model 2 with a SDK sensor.
Principle of operation
The SDK sensor, included in Model 3, detects skimming devices from all materials and will generate a silent alarm in case the sensor is triggered. The transmitter is always in stand-by mode, a skimming detection will activate the transmitter. The transmitter will automatically return in stand-by when the skimming device is removed.
Silent alarms are provided via dry contact and via USB messages in case of skimming attempts. During a skimming attack no transactions can be made until the skimming equipment has been removed.
TMD Security does advise to combine a CPK+ 6000/6001 Model 3 with a TVK to detect fraud attempts made on the fascia of the ATM.
The TVK, Tilt and Vibration Kit, is designed to prevent successful skimming attacks where the criminal attempts to install a skimming device in direct contact with the pre-head or main reading head of the card reader inside the ATM/SST. The TVK also prevents successful burglary attempts on the fascia of the ATM to deactivate anti-skimming
equipment. The TVK will detect drilling, cutting and sawing in the fascia.
• The TVK reports status changes via the USB port of the CPK+ 6000/6001 series main unit
• The TVK is available for all brands of ATMs with motorized or DIP card readers. The TVK provides extra protection to the ATM by monitoring the TSM
• The TVK can be adjusted to Model 1, Model 2 and Model 3 of the CPK+ 6000/6001 series
