The CPK+ has evolved from its first generation into the CPK+ 6000 and 6001 products TMD Security offers today. The initial product protected the ATMs against then known forms of skimming. Protection was initially required against digital, and at a later stage against analogue forms of skimming.

New protection level

The electromagnetic protection field of the CPK+ has been refined in several ways since the first generation of products, in order to keep up with developments by criminals. It should be clear that refinement is not just a matter of increasing the signal strength of transmitters. Subject matter expertise and application of advanced new techniques are required in order to raise the bar to a new protection level.

Future proof architecture

With an installed base of close to 100,000 CPK kits TMD Security bears a strong responsibility and the TMD Security brand underwrites commitment to customers. This is the reason why we perform analysis on existing products with the aim to improve products with renewed knowledge and from a renewed perspective.

The goal is to remain ahead with protection against techniques applied by skimming criminals and to be able to provide protection in time for new skimming techniques. The intelligence available at competitors and in criminal organizations to develop skimming techniques, should not be underestimated. It has lead TMD Security to bring our developed technology to perfection and create the CPK+ 6001 products.

The architecture of the CPK+ is designed in such a way that new developments can be added to existing infrastructure with maximum re-use of existing modules, thus protecting the investments made by financial institutions in our technology.

CPK+ versus upcoming threats

In 2011 TMD Security completed the development of CPK+ 6001 to protect against a new type of fraud: Stereo skimming. The term stereo skimming was defined by TMD Security.

The Research and Development Department will continuously examine new technology, products, skimming techniques, and information made available by the financial industry and law enforcement to refine or newly develop products and solutions. The CPK+ technology evolved from a new and unknown product to the standard in the anti-skimming industry with an unequalled proven track record of ten years.
