Sun Trust chooses NCR RDC solution

SunTrust Banks Inc. has chosen NCR APTRA Passport from NCR Corp. for the FI's rollout of remote deposit services for multiple channels. This will allow SunTrust to deliver a consistent cross-channel RDC experience and greater convenience to commercial and retail customers, said an announcement of the deal by NCR.

The NCR solution provides a multi-channel RDC hub, allowing Sun Trust to capture and consolidate business and consumer check deposits made from remote locations — including branches, ATMs, businesses, homes, and mobile phones — directly into back-office processing.

A single scalable platform with integrated multi-channel architecture eliminates the need to deploy individual RDC solutions across silos and allow banks to more easily and cost-effectively rollout new RDC channels as demand and investment dictates.

As an integrated hub for all remote deposits, APTRA Passport meets the growing demand for RDC and delivers incremental benefits from having all RDC solutions running on the same platform for unified fraud detection, auditing and reporting, and processing cost savings.
