Saying, "I need that money," a robber pried $20 from the hand of a 70-year-old woman at an ATM this week in Gulfport, Fla.
When the woman cried for the police, a good Samaritan passing by on a scooter stopped to help, running down the thief and getting into a scuffle with him, said a report by the Gulfport Patch.
The robber threatened to cut the motorist, then bit him on the arm, causing him to loosen his hold. The thief broke away and ran from the scene.
The victims described their assailant to police as a 6-foot African-American male with missing teeth.
