Customers of BBVA Compass now have fee-free access to 178 Cardtronics-owned and -operated retail ATMs in Colorado as the result of a branding agreement between the two businesses.
Through the deal, BBVA Compass increases its presence in Denver and Colorado Springs markets, primarily. The bank has chosen select Valero Corner Store and Safeway supermarket locations from the Cardtronics portfolio of brandable retail ATMs. Additionally, all 12 Costco locations in Colorado now offer Cardtronics-owned, BBVA Compass-branded ATMs.
Customers can find the nearest BBVA Compass-branded ATM in Colorado by using the BBVA Compass branch and ATM locator online and on BBVA Compass mobile banking apps.
"Branding Cardtronics' ATMs at Valero Corner Stores, Safeway and Costco stores makes BBVA Compass stronger and more accessible in Colorado," said Andy Hernandez, executive vice president of the ATM and online channel at BBVA Compass. "These additional ATMs give our customers convenient and fee-free access to cash in a retail environment, where they're most likely to need it."
With $63.1 billion in assets, Birmingham, Ala.-based BBVA Compass ranks among the 25 largest U.S. commercial banks, based on deposits. The FI has an ATM network of more than 1,200 machines across seven Sunbelt states.
