ATMmarketplace.com, in collaboration with the ATM Industry Association, is currently compiling data for the 2012 ATM Future Trends Report. We recently launched the survey, which I invite you to take by clicking here.

This report has become the industry standard on future trends, providing an in-depth, global perspective on where the industry is heading. Comprehensive analysis of the threats, opportunities and trends facing the industry over the next five years will provide FIs, IADs, manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, service providers, government regulators, transaction processors, consultants and investors with "future intelligence."

The report examines every major market in the world. We also, as in past reports, have major industry players represented, with commentaries from industry executives on a wide variety of topics. Contributors thus far, and we're still gathering more, include:

ATMIA Europe: Flora Hamilton, executive director
Bank Administration Institute (BAI): Debbie Bianucci, president and CEO
Cardtronics: Steven Rathgaber, CEO
Cash Connect: Tom Stevenson, president
European ATM Security Team (EAST): Lachlan Gunn, director
European Payments Council (EPC): Gerard Hartsink, chairman
GRGBanking: Mark Yip, managing director, Dr. Eduardas Vaigauskas, general manager
KAL: Aravinda Korala, CEO
Level Four: Ian Kerr, CEO
NCR Corp.: Bill Nuti, CEO
Payment Alliance International (PAI): John Leehy III, president and CEO
Tremont Capital Group: Sam Ditzion, president and CEO
Triton Systems Inc.: Daryl Cornell, president and CEO
Vantiv LLC: Peter Kulik, vice president, Product Strategy and Innovation
Wincor Nixdorf USA: Alan Walsh, vice president of banking

Survey respondents are key in collecting the data necessary to provide a comprehensive breakdown, so please take a few moments to give us your opinion on critical industry topics, such as the current regulatory environment, the future of cash, surcharging, outsourcing and much, much more. As a thank you for participating, we will provide each survey respondent with a complimentary copy of the executive summary.

Based on survey results to date, 43.3 percent of respondents have identified mobile technology as having the greatest impact on the global ATM industry over the next five years.

I'll be presenting the full results of the survey at the ATMIA conference in San Antonio, Texas, in February. Hope to see you there!

As multivendor software adoption is attending maturity in big institutions in developing countries ,there will be a shift towards highly personalized services and significance of Analytics will be quite high while we integrate ATM Chennels with other channels to get the complete picture of customers .So mostly cross selling opportunities and customer services will be improved in multichannel access which will dominate marketplace in developed countries. However there are lot of potentail for MVS usage in ATM network of developing countries in coming years
