Out with the old; in with the new. Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshares is replacing its ATM fleet with new machines that provide envelope-free depositing.

According to a report from the Columbus Distpatch, Huntington already has replaced 110 machines in the Columbus area and will install the rest in central Ohio in a month. The plan is to replace 450 machines this year, with the rest of its fleet swapped out next year.

"We're trying to be more convenient for customers," Mary Navarro, Huntington's director of consumer and business banking, said in the post.

The next step for Huntington, according to the post, is remote check deposit through its mobile app available later this year.

Huntington, a $56 billion regional bank, has nearly 700 branches and more than 1,380 ATMs in a six-state region.
