Philadelpha-based Police and Fire Federal Credit Union has entered a new multi-year agreement with First Data and the Star Network. First Data will provide debit processing and ATM terminal driving for PFFCU, as well as PIN-debit POS and ATM access through the Star Network, the company said. First Data also will provide plastics procurement for the credit union.
"We've consistently received value from our relationship with Star and First Data," said Mike Gatto, senior vice president of information systems for Police and Fire. "The services they offer help enable us to serve our own members reliably, providing secure and convenient access to their accounts."
"Police and Fire FCU is focused on being the primary financial services provider for their members," said Bryan Kratz, senior vice president of community financial institutions, at First Data. "STAR and First Data support that goal by enabling the services consumers are seeking from a financial institution."
Police and Fire FCU holds more than $4 billion in assets and serves 210,000 members through 10 branch locations and 25 ATMs in the Philadelphia area. The Star network provides electronic funds transfer services to more than 2 million retail and ATM locations.
