National Bank of Arizona, a Tucson, Ariz.-based FI with $4.5 billion in assets, has installed ARCA CM18 cash recyclers at two of its branches in Tucson and Phoenix. NB|AZ selected the ARCA solution based on a recommendation from Nevada State Bank, which is also using CM18s.
The CM18 takes the place of a branch's exposed teller drawers and automates cash-in, cash-out, balancing and inventory functions. In addition to making branches more secure, the recycler also makes everyday operations more efficient, Arca said in its announcement.
"The tellers who use the CM18 every day have found that it streamlines transactions," said Dawn Lukes, retail banking operations division manager. "It's an investment that has made a difference in time management and efficiency."
Lukes said that since the recyclers have been installed, tellers are making fewer trips to the vault.
