Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, Florida's largest CU with more than $5 billion in assets, has entered a new relationship with ARCA, installing the ARCA CM18 in 13 of 53 branches. Additional dispenser upgrades will follow in 2013.
The ARCA CM18 cash recycler was designed as a flexible solution for high or low cash-volume branches. The recycler automatically counts, authenticates and secures cash deposited, eliminating exposed cash drawers.
Deposited cash becomes immediately available for withdrawals, eliminating the need for tellers to manually process currency. This results in branch efficiencies that include reduced transaction times, improved teller accuracy, increased security and more efficient control over cash inventory.
"This upgrade allows us to focus more on serving our members instead of counting, banding and denominating cash," said JoAnn Allen, teller operations manager at Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union. He said the CU chose the ARCA CM18 for "ease of use, reduced teller outages, reduced time spent balancing teller drawers, and the ability to use up to 12 cassettes."
