Russian IT security software developer Safensoft has reported the completion of a successful test of its TPSecure 3.7 software on Diebold ATMs.
SafenSoft TPSecure version 3.7 is the latest of the company's solutions for protecting electronic self-service devices such as ATMs and kiosks against software changes and unauthorized data access by service personnel or hackers.
TPSecure 3.7 maintains system integrity by preventing unauthorized access to all processes in the system. The software provides protection from hacker attacks and "zero-day" threats — without reliance on signature updates. The system can be managed and monitored remotely and configured centrally.
Safensoft said that in Diebold laboratory tests, the software's declared performance attributes satisfied requirements in all modes of equipment operation, and that all functions met specifications.
Additionally, tests showed no ATM software performance slowdown during joint functioning of TPSecure 3.7 and Diebold Agilis 91x 3.0. All Diebold Opteva ATMs used in the test ran at optimal efficiency.
"Results of this compatibility test come as long-awaited news to our clients who use Diebold ATMs," said SafenSoft CEO Michael Kalinichenko. "Now they have solid proof that SafenSoft TPSecure 3.7 is well compatible with ATMs which are integrated into many banks all over the world."
SafenSoft technology is used by some of the world's largest banks to protect their ATM networks, according to a company news release. The firm is a member of the PCI Security Council and the ATMIA Security Best Practices committee.
