Chennai, India-based WebNMS, a provider of network and element management solutions, has announced its move into machine-to-machine solutions with the launch of ATM Site Manager.
ATM Site Manager will remotely monitor passive infrastructure components such as cameras, lighting systems, battery banks and door lock systems across thousands of ATM sites, generating actionable information in real time. The product is built on the WebNMS framework, a highly scalable network management product that has been deployed more than 25,000 times for telecom service providers across the globe, the company said.
"The drastic rise in ATM transaction costs which covers property, telecom, security, power management and cash management results in lower operational savings and pressurized profitability," said WebNMS director Prabhu Ramachandran.
"WebNMS' M2M product provides reliable and value-added solutions to take control of assets over the air and to get the most out of communications between machines. The WebNMS ATM Site Manager will reduce the operating cost of ATMs, increase profitability and is aimed at monitoring and controlling passive infrastructure lying across thousands of ATMs and at operating large network of devices."
The WebNMS ATM Site Manager solution consists of a hardware unit, a remote telemetry unit that communicates to machines via sensors and relays, and central management software based on the WebNMS framework. The RTU communicates to the central management system through Ethernet/GRPS/SMS.
