Collis, part of UL, has announced the official qualification of both the Collis Brand Test Tool and the Collis Smart Link Box by Discover Financial Services for acquirer end-to-end testing.
In order to get access to the Discover network, acquirers must first execute D-PAS acquirer end-to-end test cases successfully. The Collis Brand Test Tool is now qualified to be used for the purpose of this testing.
The Collis Brand Test Tool has the ability to simulate any test card, both contact and contactless. Using card simulation takes away the need for physical cards that can get corrupted or lost. It also provides full insight into the technical details of the communication between the card and the terminal on the one side and between the terminal and the network on the other side, facilitating an understanding of the behavior of the system from end-to-end.
