Collis, part of UL, has announced the official qualification of both the Collis Brand Test Tool and the Collis Smart Link Box by Discover Financial Services for acquirer end-to-end testing.
In order to get access to the Discover network, acquirers must first execute D-PAS acquirer end-to-end test cases successfully. The Collis Brand Test Tool is now qualified to be used for the purpose of this testing.
The Collis Brand Test Tool has the ability to simulate any test card, both contact and contactless. Using card simulation takes away the need for physical cards that can get corrupted or lost. It also provides full insight into the technical details of the communication between the card and the terminal on the one side and between the terminal and the network on the other side, facilitating an understanding of the behavior of the system from end-to-end.
"Collis continues to provide high quality test tools for the payment market. We are confident that our customers will benefit from this qualification as it will help them with reducing the time to market and increasing their confidence during the Discover implementation," adds Dirk Jan van den Heuvel, CEO at Collis.
"We are glad to add the Collis Brand Test Tool to our offering of qualified test tools for our acquirers," said Troy Bernard, global head of chip payment products at Discover. "We are looking forward to furthering our cooperation with Collis also in other areas like contactless, personalization and network simulation."
