Financial services technology provider Fiserv has announced that more than 1,100 financial institutions have now selected the company to provide their mobile banking solutions. The company's mobile banking and payment platform, Mobiliti, currently serves customers on five continents and is growing at an average of about 10 percent monthly.
Mobiliti, lets banking customers use their mobile phone to check their account balance, locate an ATM, pay bills, send person-to-person payments, and (with a camera-equipped phone) deposit a check remotely. Functions can be carried out via text messaging, with a mobile browser, or through a downloadable app for iPhone and Android mobile operating systems.
As a result of the growth of Mobiliti, Fiserv expects to double the number of clients using its Mobile Source Capture solution. The service can be offered through Mobiliti or as a stand-alone solution.
"More than 1,000 financial institutions have chosen Fiserv to help them launch mobile banking for the first time, or to replace a first generation service with a more robust solution that accommodates their long-term strategy," said Erich Litch, president, Digital Channels, Fiserv. "Customers of these banks and credit unions are embracing new mobile financial capabilities as they become available, indicating that these services have become a must-have."
