Datacard Group, a provider of secure ID and card personalization solutions, has announced the availability of the newest addition to its portfolio of end-to-end financial instant issuance solutions, the Datacard CR500.
The CR500 lets banks, credit unions, retailers and service bureaus print ready-to-use, flat financial cards on demand. The machine features enhanced encoding capabilities and superior image quality with retransfer print technology that turns blank stock into highly customized, ready-to-use permanent payment cards.
The system offers magnetic stripe encoding, contact and contactless encoding options for EMV-compliant card issuance, and includes a dual-control security enclosure that complies with industry security standards.
A multi-card input hopper design allows the system to print up to three different card types including credit, debit or ATM cards. It is integrated with Datacard CardWizard issuance software, which transfers fully encrypted cardholder personalization data to deliver a four-color, one-sided card in 36 seconds, or a four-color, two-sided card in 65 seconds.
